Paul Sortland, certified as a civil trial specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association, represents individuals and companies in cases involving malpractice, personal injury, professional negligence, and business disputes. Involved in the greater legal community, Paul Sortland maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

In its efforts to promote a fair justice system, AAJ offers a number of programs and resources that support trial attorneys and other legal professionals who represent injured parties in America’s courts. The organization also oversees a variety of advocacy activities focused on a broad range of topics.

AAJ monitors hundreds of state and federal laws and works to block any government acts that threaten to put the rights of industries and corporations before those of individuals. Over the years, the association has helped protect state tort laws and advance efforts to improve the Medicare Secondary Payer system.

AAJ’s ongoing advocacy activities focus on protecting the Seventh Amendment and helping consumers and employees injured by large corporations. The organization also places a strong emphasis on fighting limits imposed on plaintiffs in medical malpractice and defective medical product cases.
